Bothan Inbhir Nis - March Poster

    March guest: Hamish MacDonald:

    Picture
Bothan Inbhir Nis' guest in March is Hamish MacDonald: Hamish MacDonald lives in Inverness, where he has worked as a writer and performer over the past fourteen years - work includes Redcoats, A Folktale for the 21st Century - a storytelling extravaganza taking place in the Old Market Inn, and plays such as The Captain's Collection, Seven Ages, The Strathspey King and the Heretic's Tale, which have all been produced and performed by Dogstar Theatre Company. Published works include the novels The Gravy Star (11:9 Publishing) and The Girnin Gates (Black & White/Itchy Coo) - he is also a contributor to Itchy Coo's popular books of children's verse, King o the Midden and Blethertoun Braes, featuring anarchic rhymes in the various Scottish dialects. Fond of a good song and story, Hamish has appeared at the Skelleftea storytelling festival in Northern Sweden, he has collaborated with writers and storytellers from Inverness to Iran and was the inaugural Robert Burns Fellow for Dumfries and Galloway, 2003-06.
