There will then be a cèilidh dance open to the public on the last Saturday of every month in the Culduthel Hall on Green Drive. Here folk can take part in a traditional cèilidh where the new sets learned will be danced and individual's invited to perform a song, stepdance or party piece. The well known cèildh sets will also be danced.
“This new club is great for the community on a number of different levels” states the Fòram Gàidhlig Inbhir Nis (Inverness Gaelic Forum) chairman Brian Ó hEadhra, who is helping set up the club. “It is a great way to keep fit, you can brush up on your Gaelic, and it is obviously very social activity for all. Everyone loves a right hò rò gheallaidh (hooley) and we are hoping for a big turn out!”
So, if you like your cèilidh dancing, Highland culture, and are a sociable type then please join the group for the first class on Thursday 16th September at Bunsgoil Ghàidhlig Inbhir Nis (Inverness Gaelic School) at 8pm and then for the cèilidh on the 25th September at Culduthel Hall from 8pm. £5 entry.
